Rhinoplasty in Cebu City

The ultimate guide to Rhinoplasty in Cebu City

Last fact-checked: 13 July 2020

Considering altering the shape or size of your nose with rhinoplasty in Cebu City? Read on to find out how you can get the nose of your dreams at a more affordable price in the Philippines.

Why Rhinoplasty?

If you are self-conscious about the size or shape of your nose—or just dream of changing this prominent facial feature to enhance your natural beauty, you’ve probably already given rhinoplasty surgery some thought. Also known as a “nose job,”, this straightforward surgical procedure can increase or decrease the length of the nose, widen or close nostrils, smooth out bumps and alter curvature to give you the look you want.

You may have issues with your nose being too big or too small and not being in proportion to the rest of your face. In some cases, an injury may have caused it to become off-center or even cause medical problems—yet another reason why people undergo rhinoplasty surgery.

Whether the work you require is big or small, a nose job can make a big difference to your appearance and your health, while also giving you a surprisingly big confidence boost.

Why Consider a Nose Job in Cebu City?

Among dozens of budding medical tourism destinations in the Philippines and neighboring Southeast Asian countries, Cebu City is a great option for nose jobs. It’s easily accessible, home to dozens of reputable clinics and hospitals, and provides a convenient base to explore some of the Philippines’ tropical islands as part of a medical holiday.

Our partner medical facilities in Cebu City provide high-quality results, with fully trained and qualified surgeons who speak English fluently. As the cost of living in the Philippines is much lower than in Australia and Europe, the medical costs are also much more affordable. With the considerable savings you’ll make on your cosmetic procedure, you can also take advantage of your time in the Philippines and enjoy a holiday in Cebu City at the same time.

There is a lot to see and do in Cebu City, with the surrounding area boasting beaches, numerous small islands and plenty of cultural attractions. You can indulge in water sports and activities prior to your surgery and also take in the tourist sites after resting following your surgery. Throw in inexpensive shopping options, a mix of local street food and upscale restaurants and a vibrant nightlife, and Cebu City ticks almost all of the boxes.

Why Shouldn’t I Just Book on My Own?

We always recommend you do some research—don’t just plump for the first choice you see because of the low costs. Price isn’t always everything, and it should certainly not be the only consideration if you are considering plastic surgery abroad. Any good surgeon worth their salt will be more than happy to answer any questions you have, which is something you can do through our Customer Care Team.

While you can book on your own, you should not take any unnecessary risks. For example, what if the doctor you go to is not experienced or properly trained? What if the clinic or hospital has been receiving poor feedback and covering it up? Or if the staff does not speak English?

In these cases, if you book on your own and pay in advance, you are well and truly stuck. Booking through Medical Departures, however, guarantees that you’ll pay an affordable price at a fully background-checked clinic that other international patients, like yourself, have previously received treatment. We check surgeon and doctor qualifications, credentials and training—verifying the experience put forth on their resumes. We check to see if the facility maintains international standards of hygiene, uses the latest equipment and devices and that the staff is able to communicate in English so you won’t face any problems.

How Long Does Rhinoplasty Take and What Is the Estimated Recovery Time?

A rhinoplasty procedure typically takes between two and three hours, but this depends on how much work is required on your nose and whether the surgery is an open or a closed procedure.

Normally, it is carried under local anesthesia, so you should be able to leave the clinic after you have recovered sufficiently. After surgery, you will have bandages, possibly splints and probably need to take antibiotics and painkillers. You will need to rest for a day or two at the hotel.

For a surgery like this, it’s imperative that you get you take on more vigorous holiday activities (such as island hopping, swimming, trekking, etc.) before your surgery.

Full recovery will take two to three weeks. You should find out from the doctor when it will be safe for you to fly back. You will experience some swelling and bruising, sometimes around your eyes as well. You will need to eat soft foods for a few days as chewing may cause pain. For the rest, you will be mobile and able to move around, albeit at a steady pace.

How Much Can I Save on Rhinoplasty in Cebu City Compared to Home?

In Cebu City, you can expect to pay between AUD 1,000 and AUD 7,000 for rhinoplasty.

In Australia, similar surgery will set you back by AUD 7,000 to AUD 20,000, which means you can save over 75% when booking into one of our partner clinics. [Please note: these are average price comparisons calculated at the time of writing.]
