How Long Does Rhinoplasty Take and What Is the Estimated Recovery Time?

A rhinoplasty procedure typically takes between two and three hours, but this depends on how much work is required on your nose and whether the surgery is an open or a closed procedure. 

Normally, it is carried under local anesthesia, so you should be able to leave the clinic after you have recovered sufficiently. After surgery, you will have bandages, possibly splints and probably need to take antibiotics and painkillers. You will need to rest for a day or two at the hotel.

Full recovery will take two to three weeks. You should find out from the doctor when it will be safe for you to fly back. For the rest, you will be mobile and able to move around, albeit at a steady pace.
