Radiesse® is a dermal filler offering a revolutionary, anti-aging treatment without the need for surgery. Suitable for adults between the ages of 35 and 60, Radiesse is now a trusted brand for the aesthetic treatment of wrinkles and volume loss.
Everyone wants to look and feel better in their own skin, and aesthetic treatments are becoming increasingly popular–especially for the face. Not everyone is ready or wants to have surgery, and so minimally invasive treatments such as Radiesse are providing a desirable alternative.

How Does Radiesse Work?
Radiesse is a temporary dermal filler that adds volume and reduces wrinkles–but how?
As we age, our skin loses firmness, elasticity and moisture. This is because our bodies start to produce less of the attributes we need for good skin. Collagen is one of the building blocks of youthful-looking skin, forming a matrix under the epidermis, keeping it firm and smooth. Once it starts to break down, lines, wrinkles and then sagging occur, diminishing our youthful looks.
Radiesse contains calcium-based microspheres that, once injected into the skin, provide an immediate lifting and firming effect. They are biocompatible and are broken down naturally by the body over time. In addition to this immediate filling effect, Radiesse also stimulates the body into producing collagen.
Collagen formation takes between four and six weeks and the skin will begin to regain elasticity and firmness. Regular use of the product has a cumulative effect, allowing natural beauty to shine through.
Am I a Suitable Candidate for Radiesse?
Most candidates for Radiesse are between the ages of 35 and 60, showing mild to moderate signs of aging. It can be used on facial wrinkles including "marionette lines" and smile lines, as an alternative to implants on the nose, chin or cheeks and for lip augmentation and jaw contouring.
What Is the Process for Radiesse?
The procedure only takes minutes, depending on how many areas you are treating. A local anesthetic is administered and your skin wiped with an antiseptic. The Radiesse is injected into the chosen injection site beneath the skin.
You may experience a little tingling and redness afterward, and you may want to apply ice packs to reduce swelling, but you should be able to continue with normal everyday activities afterward, as long as they don’t involve anything too vigorous.
When Can I Expect to See Results and How Long Do They Last?
You will see an immediate result from the Radiesse injection, and you should notice your skin gradually improve over four or six weeks, once the collagen cycle has concluded.
Radiesse results usually last for one to two years, which is longer than other dermal fillers, but you may need top-ups during the first six months or so to achieve the desired result.
