Why Labiaplasty?

Many women are not happy with how their labia (vaginal lips) look or feel. It could be the inner, outer or both that are causing discomfort or need for a change. Sometimes the issue may be esthetics; or due to physical problems, such as painful sex.

The recovery time from the procedure is relatively quick, and booking your treatment at one of our partner clinics in the Philippines will save you a considerable amount compared to back home—giving you the opportunity to enjoy this breathtaking country at the same time.

Why Should I Undergo Labiaplasty in the Philippines?

A great holiday destination, the islands of the Philippines are many and varied, offering an assortment of locations and different experiences—from secluded desert islands to remote mountains to the sprawling metropolis, Manila.

Filipino culture is unique, with both American and Spanish influences. This does mean that English is spoken widely throughout the Philippines, so you’ll have no problems making yourself understood. You’ll also find that the hospitality here is superb; people are generally friendly with a sunny disposition, making you feel welcome and as if nothing is too much trouble.

With the rise of its healthcare system, the Philippines has recently evolved into a popular medical tourism destination, especially for Aussies and Kiwis who come to take advantage of the lower prices without the need for a long-haul flight.

Healthcare facilities are good and hospital staff well-trained, qualified and efficient. There are a good number of Joint Commission International affiliated facilities throughout the country, and you will find facilities meet international standards, like those of the International Standards Organization.

How Long Does Labiaplasty Take and What Is the Recovery Time?

Labial reduction is a reasonably straightforward process. After you have been given light sedation or a local anesthetic, the excess tissue is removed by either a scalpel or a laser. Stitches are used to close wounds; sometimes dissolvables are used, and the process typically takes around an hour.

Once the anesthetic has worn off, you will feel some discomfort and experience swelling. You’ll be advised to walk around as much as you can as this helps ease the swelling and speeds up your recovery. It will only be a few days before you can resume most of your everyday activities, apart from bathing (which is not permitted until after the stitches have dissolved or been taken out after around five days).

Vigorous activity (including sex) is not permitted for six weeks.

How Much Can I Save on Labiaplasty in the Philippines?

The cost of labiaplasty is around AUD $2,800 (EURO €1,900; UK £1,500; US $2,100; CAN $2,800) in the Philippines.

Compare this to AUD $8,200 (EURO €5,500; UK £4,400; US $6,200; CAN $8,100) in Australia and you should be able to save several thousand when booking with Medical Departures. [Please note: these prices are approximate estimates based on international data, calculated at the time of writing.]
