The ultimate guide to Eyebrow Lift in Thailand
Last fact-checked: 18 August 2020
Get rid of a tired, sad or grumpy-looking expression with an eyebrow lift in Thailand. Medical Departures has cultivated a growing list of partner surgeons in one of the medical tourism capitals of the world; discover how we can help you save money while turning back the years with this procedure.
Is an Eyebrow Lift for Me?
Gravity eventually takes its toll on all areas of our bodies, including our foreheads, eyebrows and upper eyelids, causing our brows to take on a more horizontal, flatter appearance.
A brow or forehead lift, as this surgery is also known, can reverse this by effectively removing the deep creases and wrinkles caused by our facial expressions, as well as lifting the brow to give a younger-looking, more arched appearance.
Why Have an Eyebrow Lift in Thailand?
Thailand is well-known for the quality of its healthcare facilities, with world-class surgeons and ISO-certified clinics, and some 60 Joint Commission International-accredited hospitals (more than any other country in Southeast Asia).
Hospitals here have received heavy investment since the country started to welcome savvy international patients back in the 1990s. The best medical centers are equipped with all the latest technology; from pharmacy robots that dish out medication in pre-made packs to reduce human error to revolutionary Novalis-shaped beam surgery used in cancer treatment to an innovative, less invasive form of open-heart surgery known as OPCAB; you’ll find it all in Thailand. Entire wings of hospitals are dedicated to athletics injuries, where Australian sports stars especially seek regular treatment. Medical staff are well-trained and qualified and have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver care on par with any you would receive at home.
The prices here are so much lower—an essential factor that draws in millions each year for treatment. This is not because inferior equipment or technology, materials or drugs are used, but because cost of living is far lower here. Doctors in Thailand earn roughly a third of the salary Australian doctors do, and nurses only a quarter of their Australian counterparts.

What Does the Procedure for an Eyebrow Lift Entail?
There are a number of different methods for performing an eyebrow lift:
-
The Endoscopic Brow Lift uses a long thin tube (endoscope) with a camera and light to make small incisions in the scalp through which the surgeon works on the forehead.
-
The Open Brow Lift makes a long incision in the hairline above the forehead, or in one of the creases, where the excess fat and skin are removed and the remaining skin pulled taut and sutured.
-
The Limited Incision is a combination of both procedures, often used for Crow’s feet. The scars are hidden in the temporal hairline and is of limited use for problems in the center of the brow.
How Much Can I Save on an Eyebrow Lift in Thailand Compared to Australia?
In Thailand, the cost of an eyebrow lift is around AUD $3,000 compared to AUD $6,500 in Australia, for example.
