What Does the Procedure for an Eyebrow Lift in South Korea Entail and How Long Will it Take?

The surgery for eyebrow lifts usually takes a couple of hours. Your surgeon may use one of the following techniques for your eyebrow lift:

Open Brow Lift:

A long incision is made in the hairline, or in one of the creases in the forehead. Excess fat is removed from below the skin, which is then pulled taut. The excess skin is trimmed and the what’s still left is neatly stitched back up.

Endoscopic Brow Lift:

This uses the ‘keyhole surgery’ approach where an endoscope (a long, thin tube) is guided through small incisions made in the scalp. The tube, fitted with a light and camera, beams images from under your skin to a monitor in front of the surgeon. Guiding the endoscope, excess fat can be removed and the loose skin tightened via incisions in the scalp, which of course will be hidden once the hair grows back.

Limited Incision:

This involves a combination of both the Open Brow Lift and Endoscopic Brow Lift—and is typically used for Crow’s feet.

How Long Is the Recovery Time after an Eyebrow Lift?

You will experience some discomfort after surgery for a few days, and there may be swelling and bruising. Many people go back to work once the stitches are removed, which is usually a week later.

Taking things easy is advisable for several weeks, i.e. no heavy lifting or strenuous exercise.
