How Long Does an Arm Lift Procedure Take and What Is Involved?

Most people usually have an arm lift combined with liposuction, while others just have the liposuction treatment to get the results they want. Your skin elasticity must be good enough to shrink back once the fat is removed with just liposuction, otherwise the results may be disappointing.

The arm lift surgery will take around one or two hours to complete, depending on the exact procedure you have. Your surgeon will discuss the various options with you and recommend what is best.

A standard arm lift typically involves an incision being made that runs from your underarm to your elbow. Excess tissue and skin are removed and the incision stitched; a limited incision arm lift has a small cut made under the armpit and the excess tissue pulled up, removed and the remaining tissue stitched and an extended arm lift extends the standard incision into the chest wall to remove excess tissue under the armpit.
