How Long Does the Arm Lift Procedure Take and What Is Involved?

An arm lift typically takes between one and two hours. The procedure may involve liposuction (either with or without surgery). However, if you only have liposuction, the elasticity of your skin will have to be good enough to be able to shrink back once the fat has been extracted.

The liposuction procedure uses a tube that is inserted into a small incision under the arm to extract the fat. If you are having arm lift surgery as well, incisions will be made according to the extent of the excess skin you want removing; sometimes, an extended brachioplasty may be performed to include the chest wall, or you may have a limited incision brachioplasty if there is not too much excess skin to remove.

What Is the Recovery Time for an Arm Lift in Mexico?

Compared to other cosmetic surgery procedures, the downtime is minimal. You will be tender and sore for several days but will be able to go back to work around three to five days later. Your movement will be limited but you will be advised to gently move and stretch your arms to reduce swelling. You should have full movement back in around four weeks and any scarring will fade gradually so that it will hardly be noticeable after one year.
